Sri Lanka defeated India, winning by a margin of 32 runs.

Jeffrey Vandersay demonstrated his bowling prowess by capturing six wickets in the second ODI of their three-match series, helping Sri Lanka defeat India by 32 runs.

India made a great attempt to chase down a 241-run target, but they were bowled out for 208. The Indian squad suffered a setback when Rohit Sharma went out at 64 off 44 balls since the other hitters did not put up a strong showing.

Washington Sundar was outstanding earlier in the game, going 3 for 30, and he was a major factor in keeping Sri Lanka to 240 for 9. With three wickets, Sundar was the most productive bowler for India; Kuldeep Yadav chipped in with two wickets (2 for 33). The top scorers for Sri Lanka were Kamindu Mendis and Avishka Fernando, who both added 40, runs to the team's total.

Brief results: (Avishka Fernando 40, Kamindu Mendis 40, Washington Sundar 3/30) Sri Lanka: 240/9 in 50 overs

India: 64 runs from Rohit Sharma and 44 from Axar Patel; 6/33 from Jeffrey Vandersay; 208 all out in 42.2 overs.
